How MWS Auction collects, uses and protects the information you give us when you register, bid and buy.
1. What we collect
- Identity and contact details: name, date of birth, nationality, ID or passport, address, phone number and email.
- Auction activity: the vehicles you watch, the bids and offers you place, and what you win.
- Payment records: invoices, receipts, deposits and refunds. We never store full card numbers.
- Technical data: the device and browser you use, and the pages you visit on this site.
2. How we use it
To verify who you are, to let you bid, to issue invoices and transfer ownership, to meet our legal and anti-money-laundering obligations, and to keep the auction fair and secure.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising by third parties.
4. Analytics, only if you agree
When you first visit, we ask whether we may measure how you use this website and the auction app. If you say yes, we use Google Analytics to do it, and Google receives that information to process on our behalf. It covers the pages you see, including those after you sign in, and actions such as watching a vehicle, placing a bid or an offer, and starting a payment, with the amount involved.
- What it is linked to: a random identifier for your account. It is never your name, email address, phone number, ID or passport number, or bidder number, and it is removed from your device when you sign out.
- What is never sent: your name, email address, phone number, identity documents, address or payment card details.
- If you say no, or do not answer, nothing is sent.
- Your answer is remembered on your device for up to a year, and then we ask again.
5. How long we keep it
Transaction and identification records are kept for as long as the law requires after your last transaction. Other data is kept only while your account is open.
6. Your rights
You may ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to the support address on the contact page.
